Devious Journal Entry

Wed May 27, 2009, 9:33 AM
Death is a *funny* thing, and please don't take that in a comical sense.

I found out this morning that a girl I knew was found dead in her home yesterday morning. I'm assuming she ingested some drug(s), possibly pills, because they have to do an autopsy to find the cause of death. That said, it would be difficult to tell if it's a suicide. ...A nice girl, a cheerleader, and very young. Sixteen, I believe?

Just two weeks of school left, and this is going to be very awkward considering that she was in my PE class, and I've had her all year long in at least one of my classes both semesters. She'd partner up with one of my friends occasionally and we'd all play badminton together.

I thought something was up when I got to school this morning and more than half the student body was missing. We were supposed to have a senior farewell assembly today, too, but it's been moved to Friday for this reason. Some people, because they're absolute creeps, aren't understanding why the ridiculous assembly was cancelled... Oh no, please excuse her grieving friends and everyone who knew her because this senior assembly is so fucking important. That, and I've caught one person joking that "oh, a cheerleader died." I don't get how some people can be so inconsiderate and mean.

Mostly, though, people are shocked.

I feel bad for her family and friends, but it's always odd and weird when a sudden death happens just for the fact that it's unexpected.

No ^^
I didn't know her very well aside from small chit chat here and there, so I don't feel effected really. It's just weird that I saw her last week and now she's just... gone. Very unexpected. I feel bad for her family. :[

Something like this happend last year just before school started, a girl in my form class died from ecstasy dehydration, it was unexpected since she was a nice girl.
It`s always weird in school after this happens.

You're right... it is weird. She was in my PE class, which I have tomorrow during third period. It's going to be extremely weird, and I'm not sure how many people are even going to show up, honestly.

Unless someone is on their death bed or is an axtremely wreckless person, it's usually an unexpected death and everyone is stunned over it. She's was a nice girl, so I'm especially mad at the jerks who are making awful comments about it. :[ I am curious to know what she died from... if it was drugs, something else, or it could have been a natural death. :S

When I was in junior high, a girl died--in my grade or a grade above; I don't remember. I didn't know her. She had been abused for quite a while--always wore long-sleeves, etc. No one noticed.

I can't recall whether it was suicide or whether her father killed her... but there was a lot of crying.

Crying from you or other students? D:

I've only known two people to die (who are young, anyway >_> ). It's always sad since they're young and you wouldn't expect something like that to happen so soon and suddenly D: Most people seem to have forgotten about the girl who died, though, which is sad in itself. That, or people just aren't talking about it.
Hot damn, I created a really depressing journal, no? :paranoid:
