So from the last time I updated my journal I have learned two very important things:

1) When you see that your mother is calling you at 2 AM, or any ungodly time in the early morning, do NOT answer it. Please, for the love of the Coca-Cola Company and your sanity, let the damn phone ring!

2) When your mother "asks" (but is really demanding) that you do something, DO IT, and do it quickly. Make no comment about how you never said you'd do it, and so, technically, she is demanding it be done butIhaveahardtimebitingmytongue.

My mom is out of the hospital now... Broke her hip, had surgery, and she is now exhausting me. Her step-dad is still in ICU, but he’s made some progress from what I've heard.

Today I chose to walk to three different places; I refused to call a friend or call a cab. I would rather climb a mountain in high heels than call a cab. D: I wore the wrong type of shoes to walk long distances :<

But hey, it’s exercise, right?

I feel "blechy" about writing poetry right now. I'm not sure if I'm going to take more stabs at the moment (I've already tried writing two pantoums, and then stopped because I realized they were hideous), but I've been more in the mood to write short stories instead. Colette and Chopin are more or less inspiring, but they both make you wish you had been the author. D; I am positive, though, that I will not be sharing my poetry with anyone for quite some time.

Does anyone know of a good prompt site? I use to know of one, but I've lost the web address. Or if you have any ideas of your own, tell me D:
